Building a Stronger Community

Who We Are

As a family owned and operated business since our founding in 1963, it has been the purpose of Red Dot Buildings to honor God by living out the principles of excellence, integrity, and generosity in everything we do and with all we have been entrusted.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord rather than people.” Colossians 3:23

What We Do

For three generations, Red Dot owners and leaders have known and appreciated that our employees are the heart of our company. We seek to ensure that Red Dot provides a culture of mutual respect and professionalism, so that each employee can grow to reach his or her God-given potential.

In 2005, the Red Dot 100X program was created to develop and encourage a servant leader mindset within our organizational culture. In striving to reach our full potential, Red Dot 100X has enabled employees to give their time, talent, and resources to compassionately help and serve others around the world who are in need.

“Other seed fell on good soil. It came up and produced a crop, multiplying 30, 60, or even 100X.” Mark 4:8

Over the past decade, the work of Red Dot 100X has been divided into one of three areas of focus: Doing Good / Offering Hope / Transforming Lives

Doing Good – Recognizing the amazing potential of our employees to accomplish much good in our community. Our Doing Good focus has created opportunities for our talented Red Dot team members to volunteer their time and skills toward local construction projects helping neighbors in need or crisis.

Offering Hope – Finding ways to provide encouragement and support for our Red Dot employees and their families. We believe that as our teammates better understand their God-given purpose, that profound truth will have a powerful impact on them as individuals and leaders. Opportunities like Marriage Enrichment and Family Vision Retreats are a few of the ways that our company has sought to provide meaningful hope and inspiration to team members and their families. Red Dot has also provided access to free Bibles, faith-based devotionals, and Christian-living books that guide and encourage our employees to live their lives with passion and purpose.

Transforming Lives – Seeking opportunities to impact the lives of children and widows in impoverished countries. Transforming Lives began with a small group of Red Dot employees traveling to Guatemala, digging a water cistern and building a laundry room for a girls’ orphanage. Since then, Red Dot teams have traveled the globe from Ethiopia to Peru, Kenya to Honduras and back to Guatemala, each time seeking ways to bring care and relief to those in desperate need. Whether through building playgrounds at orphanages in Central America or roofing widows’ homes in Africa, the unique talents and skills that Red Dot employees possess have made it possible. Not only have those impoverished children and adults felt loved and cared for in meaningful ways by Red Dot teams, but even more so, our employees have felt a transformation in their own lives as they have served on these mission trips.

Why go? Because love goes.
Why help? Because love helps.
Love transforms.

What’s Next

Our hope and prayer for the coming years is that Red Dot will continue to press forward, finding creative and compassionate ways to help those in need and, in doing so, find success in pushing back the darkness so prevalent in our world. We look forward to more journeys, both at home and abroad, and we anticipate that our lives will be transformed as together we encounter the children and adults God will bring into our paths.
