Red Dot attends the Dallas Build Expo

March 19th, 2018 by adcetera

The Dallas Build Expo was held during the first week of February this year at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Center, and Red Dot was in attendance for the second year in a row. The show brings together a wide variety of buyers that includes general contractors, developers and architects. The workshops and seminars were excellent sources for new information about the industry.

Tom Perry, Red Dot Senior Vice President and Tim Priest, Inside Sales Manager, were in attendance on the first day. Tom strongly advocates getting in front of clients and hearing what challenges they are currently facing. Many of the conversations ultimately led to the new energy codes and the different variations of roofing and insulation combinations that architects are using to meet these codes. Tom has worked behind the scenes at Red Dot spearheading the rollout of our new website and 2D animated video. The Build Expo was the perfect place to launch the new video to the public. Many attendees stopped to watch the video while passing by the Red Dot booth and it generated interest and further questions about our buildings.

Brian Jones, Senior Vice President of Sales and Dylan Smith, Insides Sales Manager were in attendance on day two. “The second day was interesting because many of the local school districts had their kids in attendance. Teachers and instructors stopped by the booth to gain firsthand knowledge as to what skills the construction industry needs from future employees. That was something that I did not expect to happen at the expo, but I am certainly glad it did…” said Jones. “…anytime you can get the chance to impact the education and preparation of future industry workers, you can consider that time well spent. That is an investment that will pay exponential dividends in the years to come.” Red Dot really enjoyed the expo; it was a great networking and educational opportunity. We look forward to next year’s event, and already have new presentations in the works for 2019.
