WELDER Are you a skilled team player with problem solving skills who adheres to a high standard of quality? Red Dot is looking for a welder who is open to learning and growing with our industry-leading company. The welder will be expected to join, fabricate, and repair metal by executing welding tasks with precision, focusing on the welding of clips and connection plates in accordance with stringent AWS (American Welding Society) standards. The ideal candidate will bring technical knowledge and an innovative mindset to help fortify quality in our cutting-edge metal building systems. Key Responsibilities: • Execute welds in adherence to governing specifications, (such as AWS D1.1 and D1.3 specifications) to ensure compliance. • Inspect and approve proper fit-up procedures were followed prior to welding. • Follow weld maps meticulously and implement welds in alignment with Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) guidelines. • Proficiently operate cranes and lifting equipment to handle materials. • Utilize safe rigging practices for efficient material movement. • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all area-specific work procedures. • Adhere strictly to Red Dot Corporation policies, procedures, and guidelines. • Ensure full compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulatory standards. • Conduct thorough cleaning of beams post-welding, preparing them for entry into the paint shop. • Undertake special assignments and additional duties as needed. • Set up welding equipment, proper calibration, and conduct equipment maintenance as necessary. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: • High School diploma or equivalent is preferred, with demonstrated knowledge of math and or science. • Candidate must demonstrate knowledge of MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding.
